Our client is a respected Australian manufacturer operating within the safety and construction sector, delivering innovative solutions that help keep people safe in high-risk environments. With strong market growth and a reputation built on quality, compliance and technical excellence, the business is now seeking a Marketing Manager to lead and evolve its marketing function.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic marketing leader who enjoys blending high-level thinking with deep customer and market insight. You will take ownership of the marketing function, guiding a small team while partnering closely with Sales, Product and Executive leadership to ensure marketing activity drives measurable commercial outcomes.
You will hold accountability for revenue pipeline growth, marketing ROI and brand positioning, while strengthening the organisation’s understanding of its customers, markets and competitors.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will develop and execute the organisation’s marketing strategy while leading a small team responsible for brand, data operations and learning/multimedia initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives
- Lead, mentor and manage the marketing team including Brand, Data & Operations and Learning & Multimedia functions
- Own the marketing budget and report on marketing performance, ROI and pipeline contribution
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks
- Develop and maintain detailed customer personas and customer journey maps
- Manage and optimise the HubSpot CRM including segmentation, lead scoring and reporting
- Deliver integrated marketing campaigns, product launches and brand initiatives
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Training and Executive teams to align marketing with commercial priorities
- Lead brand development or repositioning initiatives as required
- Drive lead generation and sales enablement initiatives supporting revenue growth
- Provide insight-driven recommendations around messaging, targeting, channels and campaign strategy
- Develop customer advocacy, retention and loyalty programs
- Ensure brand consistency across marketing, product and training content
- Oversee LMS content development, product training modules and multimedia assets
- Manage relationships with external marketing agencies when required
About You
You are a strategic and commercially minded marketing professional who enjoys using insight and data to drive results. You bring a balance of leadership capability, analytical thinking and strong stakeholder engagement.
You will ideally demonstrate:
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
- Proven experience developing and executing marketing strategies that drive revenue growth
- Strong analytical capability including CRM management, data analysis and Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to develop customer personas, journey maps and competitor analysis
- Strong leadership, mentoring and team development skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management ability
- Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring ROI
- Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation and analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and content strategy
- Experience using market research tools and translating insights into actionable strategies
Highly Regarded
- Experience in the safety, construction, manufacturing or industrial sectors
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications or Data Analytics
- Experience implementing or managing a marketing technology stack
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 environments
- Exposure to instructional design, training content or e-learning programs
- Experience using CMS platforms, email marketing systems and project management tools
