Interview Support Tips

Job interviews, especially for your dream position can be stressful, no doubt about it. A good job interview does not happen by accident. It takes preparation and practice. Here are proven tips to help you nail that interview:
RESEARCH

Invest in your own success by spending at least half an hour researching the organisation. Google, newspaper articles or industry magazines are all good sources of current information. Having some background information at your fingertips, when used appropriately is guaranteed to impress your interviewer.

DRESS

The golden rule is to dress like you already have the job. If you need to be sharp, then look sharp. Modest investment in the right outfit will pay dividends. If you are not sure what to wear, our style consultants can help you.

PUNCTUALITY

Being late to an interview is a sure-fire way to kill off your chances at landing your dream job. Plan for delays by leaving a bit earlier, and in the event of something extraordinary happening make a phone call to let them know. Plan to be five minutes ahead of your time; anything earlier is just plain rude.

QUESTIONS

The interview is the best time for you to find out more about the job; your research may have answered most of your questions. Make sure you plan at least five questions that you can all upon to demonstrate that you really are interested in that opportunity.

FOLLOW UP

Manners matter! A quick email to your interviewer thanking them for their time and confirming your interest in the role will go a long way. The most important impression is the last impression so make it a good one.
