Head of Licensing & Merchandise

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Licensing & Merchandise to lead the next phase of growth for an iconic sporting brand. This role offers the opportunity to combine creativity with commercial strategy, managing a diverse portfolio of licensing partners and merchandise lines that inspire fans and strengthen brand connection.

Working closely with the COO and Business Revenue Team, you’ll play a key part in defining and executing the brand’s commercial vision. From identifying new market opportunities to overseeing end-to-end product development, you’ll bring strategic thinking, innovation and leadership to every aspect of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a forward-thinking licensing and merchandise strategy aligned to business goals.
  • Identify and secure new market and partnership opportunities to expand brand reach and revenue.
  • Oversee product design, development and launch, ensuring quality, brand consistency and commercial success.
  • Negotiate and manage licensing agreements, optimising royalty structures and partner performance.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team spanning licensing, retail, events, and customer experience.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in licensing, merchandise or brand management (ideally within sport, entertainment or consumer brands).
  • A strong blend of commercial acumen and creative vision.
  • Excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills.
