Working in a niche team dealing with visionary architects, highly skilled tradespeople and engineering professionals, your contribution as an experienced Estimator will ensure that projects are able to be delivered on time and on budget. Projects include luxe stand-alone homes, functional & funky townhouses and renovations to established houses.
What is typically involved?
- Full build estimation including excavation, labour, construction materials including luxe finishes plus fittings and fixtures as required
- Incorporating variations and major changes
- Ongoing consultation with and updates to clients via in-person meetings, phone consults and written communication
- Liaising with external parties for site & engineering reports
- Ensuring systems are updated to reflect all changes and communications
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes leading to greater efficiencies and transparency
- General administrative functions as required.
What skills & experience you will bring?
- Formal qualifications in Building & Construction or significant practical experience
- 5 years of experience in end to end estimation with a focus on high end residential construction
- Exceptional mathematical skills backed by expertise in reading architectural drawings and site plans
- Experience consulting directly with clients and maintaining ongoing professional communications, both written and verbal.
- Great team working outlook with the ability to analyse and present data in a timely and articulate manner
- IT proficiency in MS Office (including Excel) and building sector software such as BuildTrent or similar
