An exceptional opportunity exists for a proven Commercial Director to lead the commercial strategy across Australia & New Zealand, driving sustainable growth, customer excellence and brand impact for a market-leading global mobility group and its subsidiary brands.

The Opportunity

As Commercial Director, you will take ownership of commercial, sales, and marketing functions to deliver revenue growth, profitability and market share across multiple customer segments and subsidiary brands. You will design and implement business development strategies across corporate, leisure, e-Commerce and strategic partnerships while positioning the business for stronger market penetration and brand recognition.

This role will see you leading a high-performing sales and marketing team, instilling a culture of accountability, discipline, and customer excellence. You will manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, oversee tenders and negotiations, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM platforms. Oversee and manage digital transformation, you will drive e-Commerce growth, optimise online channels, and champion loyalty initiatives to increase customer engagement and lifetime value.

Your leadership will extend beyond commercial growth, you will mentor and develop a team of professionals, fostering succession planning, workforce engagement and performance excellence. You will ensure compliance with competition, consumer and advertising legislation while maintaining sound governance and transparent business practices. Externally, you will represent the organisation with key partners, suppliers and industry stakeholders, negotiating high-value agreements and strengthening long-term relationships. Importantly, you will also set the tone for workplace safety and wellbeing, promoting a culture of resilience, accountability and shared responsibility.

About You

  • 10+ years’ senior leadership within mobility, car rental, automotive, tourism, or a related service-based sector.
  • 5+ years in senior sales/commercial management, leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong track record in driving growth, improving efficiency, and leading business transformation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or Marketing (preferred); post-graduate qualifications advantageous.
  • CRM (Salesforce preferred) and digital/eCommerce expertise.
  • Strategic, commercially astute, customer-focused and an inspirational people leader.
