If you’re someone who enjoys being out in the business, partnering with operational leaders and creating practical safety solutions that make a real difference, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

We’re looking for an experienced Work Health & Safety professional to take ownership of safety, compliance and risk across a national operational network. Reporting directly to the HR Director, you’ll have the autonomy to strengthen and evolve the organisation’s WHS framework while embedding a proactive safety culture across multiple sites.

This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit a mature system and simply maintain it. You’ll be trusted to identify opportunities, implement improvements and help shape the future direction of safety within the business.

About the Role

This is a hands-on operational role where no two weeks look the same. You’ll spend time partnering with leaders, conducting site visits, identifying risks and ensuring compliance while developing practical systems that support both the business and its people.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing expert WHS advice and coaching to leaders across the organisation.
  • Leading incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Driving governance, compliance, audits and legislative requirements.
  • Conducting workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Developing and maintaining WHS frameworks including traffic management, asbestos management and psychosocial risk management.
  • Supporting operational risk management and injury prevention strategies.
  • Managing workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes.
  • Overseeing contractor and supplier WHS compliance
  • Coordinating first aid programs and external safety providers
  • Managing reporting while analysing trends and performance.
  • Preparing KPI, risk and compliance reporting for senior leadership
  • Developing emergency management plans and strengthening foundational WHS systems
  • Supporting national safety initiatives while aligning with global standards

About You

You’ll enjoy working closely with operational teams and be someone who naturally builds trust, influences others and takes ownership.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated WHS experience within a multi-site operational environment.
  • Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Experience coaching and influencing leaders across all levels of a business.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
  • Confidence working autonomously and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing policies, systems and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong investigation, reporting and analytical skills.
  • A genuine passion for creating positive safety cultures.
  • Willingness to travel nationally

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to step into a role where you’ll genuinely influence how safety is embedded across the organisation.

In return you’ll receive:

  • Competitive salary package plus superannuation.
  • Fully maintained company vehicle.
  • Performance bonus.
  • Ongoing professional development and career growth.
  • The opportunity to build and shape a national WHS function.
  • A collaborative business that values initiative, innovation and continuous improvement.

If you’re an experienced WHS Coordinator or Advisor ready to step into a role where your ideas will be valued and your impact will be visible, we’d love to hear from you.
