Ecommerce Manager

Current Jobs
  • Lead Ecommerce strategy for a standout Australasian sporting brand
  • Own platforms, performance and the online customer experience
  • Newly created role combining strategy with hands-on delivery

Our client is a leading Australasian teamwear supplier, partnering with professional and amateur sporting organisations across Australia and New Zealand. It’s impressive portfolio includes elite clubs across the AFL, Super Netball, NRL and Super Rugby Pacific, along with State Sporting Associations and community clubs across multiple codes. Beyond supplying teamwear, the business delivers end-to-end commerce solutions from made-to-order campaigns and inventory programs to onsite retail activations and fully managed branded online stores.

As part of a departmental restructure and continued investment in digital growth, the business is ready to take its Ecommerce capability to the next level.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the newly created Ecommerce Technology & Performance Manager will lead the platforms, technology and digital performance that support the customer journey.

This is not a role where you’ll sit on the sidelines.

Leading a small team, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery—shaping the technology roadmap, improving platform performance and translating digital capability into measurable commercial growth.

You’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales, Retail and Business Systems, while managing external vendors and technology partners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that improve both the customer experience and business performance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the Ecommerce platforms, technology roadmap and platform performance
  • Leading website enhancements, integrations, testing and optimisation
  • Improving conversion, customer experience and digital growth
  • Overseeing Ecommerce operations, data quality, fulfilment and customer service
  • Leading, coaching and developing the Ecommerce team
  • Coordinating cross-functional projects and external technology partners
  • Using analytics and customer insights to identify opportunities and improve performance
  • Maintaining strong data governance, privacy and access controls

You will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience leading an Ecommerce team
  • Experience with Shopify or a comparable enterprise Ecommerce platform
  • Experience with Klaviyo or a similar CRM and marketing automation platform
  • Strong knowledge of website development, APIs, system integrations and platform configuration
  • Hands-on experience in programming, scripting, troubleshooting and technical testing
  • Knowledge of product listings, stock control, fulfilment and customer service processes
  • A strong understanding of conversion optimisation, SEO, analytics and online customer behaviour
  • Proven experience managing stakeholders, vendors, projects and competing priorities

Experience within apparel, retail, manufacturing, teamwear or a multi-site Ecommerce environment will be highly regarded. Experience preparing business cases, implementing new technology or a relevant tertiary qualification is also desirable.

Ready to make your mark?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing Ecommerce function within a successful business connected to some of Australia and New Zealand’s most recognised sporting organisations.

If you enjoy bringing technology, people and commercial outcomes together and you’re equally comfortable setting the strategy and rolling up your sleeves to deliver it, we’d love to hear from you.
